Guide on how to play HLS videos with DRM on iOS

iOS native player is AVPlayer. It supports playing HLS videos out of the box and no extra configuration is needed. If you need to play FairPlay DRM-encrypted videos, you need to take some extra steps.

We built an iOS SDK which allows you to quickly start streaming FairPlay videos using Gumlet.

If you are using DRM-encrypted videos, you will need to follow the License Server Setup guide first.

Offline playback: Secure offline downloads for in-app playback are not yet supported on the iOS SDK (Android support is available today — see Android Native). This is on the roadmap; check back for updates.
