Video Profiles

What are video Profiles and how different configuration is used to encode videos.

Video profiles allow you to configure video encoding parameters. Once a profile is created, anyone using our CMS or APIs can specify all encoding parameters for processing in one go and reuse them for any number of videos to be processed across collections.

A profile can be attached to a collection as a default profile, so while processing video in a collection, that profile will be automatically applied if no custom profile is specified.

If you change any profile parameter, it's not applied to videos already processed. The new parameters will only apply to videos processed after the profile is updated.

You can visit the video profiles section on the dashboard to view existing profiles or create a new one.

REST API documentation for profiles is available if you are an API user. We have covered different sections of a profile and encoding capabilities in the pages below.
